Comments: Found some more boys from the original C Co. Give me a yell on e-mail and we'll talk.I've e-mailed Dan in the past so I'm familiar with the workings of the pages. I keep an eye on who signs in. Last week I had a e-mail from a daughter of a buddy of mine from Nam in 67-68 and Hawaii. I got the word out to others that I know of and most called him in the next few days. I spoke with my medic this morning via face book for the first time since Feb 24th 68. I went to school and worked at the USPS with a Charlie Comp. grunt by the name of DANNY ZEIGLER. I talked to his dad and found that DAN was at Ft. CARSON, CO when he learned of a unit being formed in HAWAII, so he put his name in.
DANNY was a good surfer, when surf was up, DANNY was there, didn't matter what day of the week it was. He was wounded in Feb.1968.
Last time I talked to Dan was in front of the SANTA BARBARA VA clinic. His girl friend at the time was from GUAM, and were going back to there.
I served with A 1/20th, joined the com. on LIZ. Have met and had dinner at previous Division reunions with a Charlie comp. I remember his first name as Bill, he would always sit with us, as he was the only Charlie there. I heard that he passed of cancer a few years back. He was a good guy and was honored that he was at our table. March 21, 2010 It was Bill Allen who you met from Charlie Co at the ADVA reunions. He started the 11th Brigade site, and got Dan going on Charlie Co guys. He passed away in July 2005 from cancer.

Comments: My Brother Kent was in an truck land mine explosion August 14th 1970 on access road to LZ Liz in Vietnam He is looking for anyone who might have information about it. He is wondering if anyone else went back out into the field. He has heard that a picture was taken of the truck as well as the hole created by the explosion. If anyone can tell him where he might find those photos it would be very helpful. He has also had been told that the explosion was a 250 lb bomb. If anyone knows the size of the bomb (there was a truck behind his) and apparently the explosion was heard at landing zone Liz. He greatly appreciates those who have called and are helping him. Comments: I was in Charlie 1-20 only for about 5 days when the truck exploded; I was then sent to 91st evac in Chu-lai. After a 2-week recovery time, I went to 6-11th artillery and then back in the field with D 1-20 as an FO. Comments: Oct.29, 1970 - Ronnie Ray was not wounded. The guy's name that was wounded was Reginald Wray. The reason I know this is that the telegram was sent to my parents, using Reginald Wray's name. My parents contacted the Red Cross and got it straightened out. Also, on the 1970 company roster, his name is spelled Reginald Vray, it should be Wray. He was from New York City, had only been in country a couple of months. I contacted Chuck Seketa - he suggested that other people needed to read the daily reports and help him get any information corrected. February 22, 2009

Comments: This is a great web site. All Nam vets are brothers. Charlie 1/20 are just much closer. The ones we lost will never be forgotton. Simmons, Sprinkle, Kinny, Wise, Rustey and the many others I can not name. Went to the hospital with Doc Muller May 31, 69. He had some complacations. Did not know if he was going to make it. Thanks to this web site looks like he did. Crossed paths with Sgt. Shelly in Japan at the 7th field hospital it was good to see him. God bless each and every one of you.
